Denial Is Your Worst Enemy

I have had many successful clients, but many of them still battle with themselves internally.

"I don't know why I gained weight again"

I will tell you why, YOU ARE NOT BEING HONEST WITH YOURSELF. Either you are slacking off at the gym or starting to go off the rails with your diet. Most likely might be both.

If you are seriously confused about what is going on, perhaps take a step back and assess your current situation. Maybe you are adding in extra treats because you feel like you "deserve it" for all your hard work. Perhaps you are skipping the gym and sitting more, which in turn you aren't burning off the extra calories. Or maybe you are flat out emotionally eating because you are stressed out.

Ask yourself, do you feel better when you do any of these things? Are you feeling content when you start throwing all your hard work out the window because you wanted to eat cookies and ice cream every night? Do you really feel good the next morning when you downed a bottle of wine the night before? Probably not.

Start taking responsibility for your actions, because any action you take in life will have some sort of consequence, good or bad. If you are starting to gain weight and you feel bad about it, you are the only person in the world that can change things. Unless for some crazy reason someone holds a gun to your head and tells you to eat a whole box of doughnuts, you are the only person that can control your decisions, no one else makes your decisions for you.

Stop being in denial, because denial of your own actions doesn't get you anywhere.
